Game Planning

Find the advantage.

Read what their look leaves open, draw two of your concepts against it, and build the plan. Coach Wise checks the analysis, and you approve, change or deny every call on the Board.

The order, for both units

Analyze. Coach Wise checks. You decide.

A scouting report is uploaded and analyzed. Coach Wise checks the outputs: what is frequent but not effective, what repeats last week, what stands on thin evidence. Then the Board is built for the coach to approve, change or deny.

  • Every figure the check writes is audited against what it was handed
  • A check that cannot run never holds up the analysis
  • Practice reps never feed back into the plan

The Lab

Their look and your call, drawn side by side.

The War Room’s Lab is a conversation with Coach Wise and a field that draws what the conversation is about: your formation, routes and blocking against their front and coverage. The drawing is done by Wise Tactics’ own football rules. The model never places a player.

  • Ask aloud, and review the transcript before it is sent
  • What-ifs open a call in the Lab
  • Approved diagrams print with the install sheet

Concepts against their look

Try this

  1. Load Their 3rd & long
  2. Set their coverage to C2 and read what it leaves open
  3. Put Mesh against Stick, then add one to the plan

What Over · Cover 1 leaves open

  • Man underneath with one deep: crossers, rubs and stacked releases.
  • The free safety cannot cover both seams.
  • 7 in the box against 6 blockers — +1 to the defense. Someone goes unblocked unless he is read or thrown away from.

Compare two concepts

Pass · Trips Rt · 11 personnel

ENTESMWCCF$

Workable

  • Cover 1 is man with a 1-high shell; Stick has an answer but it is not the one it was drawn for.
Coaching considerations
  • Read the flat defender: he widens, throw the stick; he sits, throw the flat.
  • Against a cloud corner sitting in the flat, the stick is the throw — or check out of it.
  • Five-man protection plus the back. Pressure from the weak side is his.

Pass · Doubles · 11 personnel

ENTESMWCCF$

Workable

  • Cover 1 is man with a 1-high shell; Smash has an answer but it is not the one it was drawn for.
Coaching considerations
  • Against a two-high shell the corner route lands in the hole between corner and safety.
  • A bailing Cover 3 corner gives up the hitch. Take it.
  • Quarters brackets the corner route; this is not the call against it.

Sample game plan

Nothing on the plan yet. Add a concept above — it stays on this page and is gone when you leave.

A concept's fit is football structure — what it is drawn to stress — not a result. In Wise Tactics, structure, what they have shown and your own record are kept apart, and a call reaches the plan only when a coach accepts it on the Board.

High confidence

The read

  • They ran Outside Zone from Trips Rt on 23 of 160 charted snaps, and it worked for them on 19 of 23. A high-confidence sample.
  • Over · C3 stopped it on 1 of 2 reps this week. Too few to read.
  • Best record on reps this week: Odd · C4, 3 of 4.
